Cordoba is full of history and bursting with the traditional Southern Spanish culture. The Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba is the main highlight, and for good reason. The combination of Muslim and Christian architecture is gorgeous and tells an amazing history. Cordoba has an unexplainable charm and is a romantic city to explore. The small idling streets with whitewashed homes are beautiful to explore. When you visit Spain be sure to take at least a day trip to explore Cordoba.
One of my favorite places in Barcelona is the Palau de la Música Catalana. There’s so much detail I could stand staring at it for hours. It was built in Barcelona’s favorite style of Catalan modernisme by architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner.
You should stroll by and enter the lobby at least. If you can, book a show so you can see the impressive theater’s interior. This style of Catalan modernisme can only be described as decadent and intricate and if you enjoy spectacular craftsmanship you will love this. They sure don’t build ’em like this anymore. You can find it at the top of the Born neighborhood at Carrer Palau de la Música, 4.
